Dr. Browning completed a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology prior to commencing Medical School at McMaster University. He graduated from McMaster in 1989 and completed a rotating internship at the University of Toronto the following year. Dr. Browning completed specialty training in Obstetrics & Gynecology, with a special interest in fertility, at the University of Western Ontario in 1994.
Dr. Browning co-founded the Barrie Fertility Centre in 1999 and has been the Medical Director there ever since. In 2013, Dr. Browning and partners strove to improve fertility treatment access in Durham region by founding the Lakeridge Fertility Centre. The success and profound client satisfaction with this medical model prompted the subsequent desire to expand access to fertility treatment in the Stoney Creek, Niagara Peninsula Region with Niagara Fertility, and in the Kitchener Waterloo area with TRIO KW. Dr. Browning has served many years as the Chief of OB/GYN at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, and as a Colposcopy & Cervical Screening Lead for Cancer Care Ontario. Dr. Browning was appointed to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario’s Expert Panel on Fertility Services in Ontario. Dr. Browning currently has an appointed position with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario on the Out of Hospital – Premises Inspection Committee. This is the committee that makes decisions on safety and quality of care of Fertility Centres in Ontario .
Dr. Browning has a passion for helping couples achieve their dream of parenthood. In addition to a busy fertility practice, Dr. Browning has made great strides in making quality fertility treatment more accessible for patients who live in smaller population centres. His goal is to enhance the treatment of infertility with the most comprehensive integrated wellness approach added to the latest technologies available. This passion has led to the further creation of the Ontario Fertility Network. The popularity of care at these Ontario Fertility Network clinics has resulted in one of the busiest groups of fertility clinics in the province. He has played a major role in making quality fertility treatment more accessible in Ontario.
